Community Schools Rental Assistance Program

Are you struggling to pay rent, facing eviction, or experiencing homelessness?

​​​The Community Schools Rental Assistance Program (CSRAP) helps families and students enrolled in community schools with emergency financial support. If you are at risk of eviction, losing your housing, or experiencing homelessness and need help securing a new rental home, this program is here for you.

Participating jurisdictions

Funding for CSRAP is nearly exhausted. Check the status of your location for current availability:

  • Waitlist Only: Funds are nearly exhausted. Applying does not guarantee that you will receive help.
  • Interest Only: Funding is no longer available. They continue to collect information to understand community needs.
  • Closed: Funding is no longer available. The provider is no longer taking any applications at this time.

Household eligibility requirements

To qualify for assistance from CSRAP, you must:

  • Have a student enrolled in a Community School living in your home.
  • Have the student enrolled in one of the Participating Jurisdictions listed above.
  • Be renting your home or trying to rent a new home (homeowners are not eligible for assistance).
  • Be experiencing housing instability such as homelessness, at risk of eviction, utility shut off, or be behind in paying rent or utilities.

Types of assistance available to households

CSRAP can help eligible families pay for:

  • Past due rent or utility bills, including late fees and court fees related to eviction.
  • Moving cost and deposit needed to rent new home, such as security deposit, first month's rent, utility deposit.
  • Future rent and/or utility assistance related to your current housing instability.
